I know the date for the STX St. Patrick's Day Parade is Saturday March 14th in Christiansted. Rumor has it (and we know how rumors are on the island) that the parade route has changed and will go down King Street, past the fort, down to Sharkey's. Does anyone know for sure if this is the new parade route? Have also heard that there will be no alcohol allowed on the parade route (for parade participants and spectators) and drinking only allowed in the bars/restaurants. Anyone out there have information on this? Any info will be appreciated.

It's always gone down King Street; as for the no alcohol allowed--impossible!!

Last year if I remember correctly they made the market square section a "family section" where they tried to keep the drinkers away.

I really think this is a rumor, it doesn't make much sense otherwise. Always seems to me there are alot more adults then kids at this parade. Can't think of anywhere we're the beers not following on st pattys day parades. Seems very un-irish.

I only know a few jokes; here is one for St. Patties Day:

How do you cross Ireland without passing a pub?

Easy, you go into all of them.

Sorry for the sort of off topic post 🙂
