Hey everyone,
We are settling in and starting to find our way; however no luck on a job on STX. Mike has experience as ramp personnel for an airline (loading and unloading aircraft) for over 10 years plus a professional background. We are pretty much open to anything to get some income coming in. We appreciate any leads.

Welcome to my world. I have been looking for a job for a while and haven't had luck. I am realizing it is more who you know that what you know. I feel that I have kept a pretty open mind and have applied in many different fields. I have a degree in education but have decided to take a "break" from teaching. I have a lot of professional experience as well but am at a stand still. So, to all of you working people out there, any suggestions?????

I just told ever single person I came across that I was looking for work. I got offers from all sorts of people to send me their resumes, or to call a certain person. I ended up not doing any of that because I wanted to work part time at an easy pace, so I ended up taking a job as a front desk person at the hotel I had been staying at. But I find that if you let people know that you are looking, most of the folks you meet are interested enough to ask what you want to do, what kind of work you are looking for, etc. Just keep going out and talking to people.

And it helps if you hang out with Linda from Michigan. I swear, we spent one day with her and met about a hundred people that she already knew! 🙂

I did - just tonight - haven't had much time to write back - will this weekend.

It was pretty cool there. A different crowd from where I've been. East end of STX are their own breed.

travel woman,

For loading and off loading air craft job. He can check the airport/airlines, or seabourn seaplane. Hotel on the Cay transportation may have leads for luggage assistance. Resorts are also a good place to look for the line of work stated.
