I just realized the big ferry in Gallows Bay is gone for the season (or about to leave??). How do people get to St. Thomas from May till October?

Just wondering : )

The seaplane and Cape Air are your only options.

Oh wow! Doesn't STT have a big 4th of July celebration? I wonder how much it costs to take the seaplane. We see/hear it taking off and landing several times a day.

It is not feasible to commute daily from STX to STT. Too far and too expensive.

From what I heard in the office, a round trip plane to STX from STT its around $117... One way is like $80 I think using Cape Air. We have offices on both islands and travel between the two ALOT so I don't know if we get a discount at all

STXHSMom: The 4th celebration is on St John. You would probably have to spend the night as the fireworks in Cruz Bay start at 9 pm. (It would make a fun off-island getaway!)

A ten ticket book, each ticket good for a one way flight cost $651.50 from Cape Air.

correction to jim's post:

a cape air book of 10 tickets (5 round trips) costs $599. that includes all taxes. so a one way is equal to $59.90 or a round trip is equal to a total cost of $119.80. if you don't have the book, a same-day round trip is $129.50. it costs more if you stay for a night or longer.
