Way to go cops! Hours later Lower Love Gas Station was robbed and the owner was shot in the leg and one of the perps was apprehended.

Exactly spee1dy! Also the economy is not 100% to blame for these types of thugs robbing in broad daylight.

Another problem that I have with this crime: acc. to the Source the wounded criminals were taken to the hospital for treatment. With all the budgeting problems the hospital has, I wonder how much $$$ goes to treat criminals on a yearly basis? And how many of the criminal's bills go unpaid?

I'm new to St Croix and so saddened by this. My wife and I were there 10 minutes before this occurred along with a lot of shoppers on a Saturday midday. I happened to notice a security guard standing outside who obviously wasn't a deterrent and without a gun. What do people think the actual punishment will be? Is jail time so weak to not be a deterrent? These idiots put a lot of innocent people at risk. I can't imagine that store had a lot of money on hand. I'm just sad this happens here and that things have gotten to the point where this kind of stuff can actually happen.

I'm beyond excited that a lot of the recent robbery/ shooting headlines include the words "apprehended" and "custody". Maybe the VIPD is stepping up it's game? Hopefully the courts will do the same.

No, have the "alleged child" parents take their place for whatever term. Rotate em every 6 months to take care of the child. Work mandatory no gov. yeah that will happen
