We pay social security, medicare and federal income tax. No "state" tax and no sales tax. The federal tax doesn't go to DC, itstays here in the territory. On my modest salary it works out to about 13% taxes.

Thanks Ric. I live in San Jose, California, here we pay a lot of tax. And because of job outsouce, we lost job here. I am a statistician and working at semiconductor industry for a long time. I am interested in relocation to UVI, since I heard my neighbor (her husband works at BVI) said that it is no difficult to find job there but it is difficult to find housing. I think I can do anything from low pay job to office worker, or tutoring in Math. I know computer and science. Of cause, I am not dream to find a job related to my background and experiences. And i am wondering what season is the best time to go there and find a survive job? If I come to Feberary, can I still find a job for living? If you can give me some advice, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Hurl
