What's the night life like on St. Croix? Do the sidewalks come up at dusk or are there late night spots?

There is night life. Everytime my twenty five year old son and his friends come down they manage to find things to do until 5 AM.

In my opinion the late night activity picks up with the wait staff from local restraunts get off and are looking for places to blow off steam.

Not a major party animal, but sometimes I like to let off steam too. Do you know of any places that have musical entertainment, comedy clubs or the like? Many cities have strips like NO's Bourbon Street, San DIego's Gas Lamp Dist. and Atlanta's Buckhead. Is the Company St. area like that?

Thanks.

No just small bars. Some have entertainment. Never seen a comedy act on STX.

The casino might be your best bet. They usually have a lounge act/band. It is a small casino so nothing big time.

Hello,

Nothing like Bourbon St. or Gas Lamp Dist. (don't know Buckhead) in the USVI, not even close. The entertainment on St. Croix is a lot smaller... in size of the bars, number of bars and crowd. Bars are often bars in restaurants and some do have live entertainment on certain nights, happy hour ect. Various hotels put on shows for visitors - Caribbean shows - they can be fun to attend as a resident once in a while. The Landmark Society often has wine tasting, classical entertainment type venues at the Whim. The Casino has live entertainment. There are various live jazz events and other musical showcases. Local bands perform at different bars and events. As for the crowd - if you go out often enough you will get to know all the bartenders, wait staff and the regular bar hoppers - the crowd is small; also the island is small so its likely you will see these same people at the grocery store, bank, post office.
