I am 29, undergraduate in finance and accounting and I was wondering what qualifications I would need to teach in St. Thomas. I would be interest in elementary or high school. I have no teaching experience. I am willing to go back to school if necessary but would prefer not to. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

I am not familiar with STT... but here on STX, business teachers are not in short supply. Public schools are requiring teaching credentials of new teachers now... and the larger private schools will not hire a teacher unless he or she has teaching experience. However, the smaller private schools might be a better fit for you until you have your teaching credentials. Unlike public schools, private schools do not have to hired teachers with credentials.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

And I dunno what the private schools pay, but I had a friend that got a job as a teacher in a public school on STT and she lasted ONE day! The pay was atrociously low and the students just ran her out of there....
