Streets are flooded. Cistern overflowing. Too much, too fast!

We're getting our share, that's for sure. It's gone from a constant medium drizzle from early this morning to a pounding rain at present and no sign of letting up.

Lucky 13 radio just announced Wesleyan school closing at 1pm and for parents to come pick up their kids. Not a day to be on our roads.
We're now under a flash flood warning updated from last night's warning.

They just announced its. Peter and Paul closing early too.

They've closed all public schools and want parents to pick up their kids. Private schools announced closings, too.

I love the oxymoron.

-The roads are flooded, closed and dangerous.

-Please, 1000 parents go drive on the roads and pick up your kids from school.

I'm listening to someone's poor car trying to get up the road on the hill above for the last 15 minutes and it doesn't sound like he's going to have any treads on his tires by the time he'd done, if he makes it.
He must've made it because now all I hear is water rushing downhill into Dorothea Bay and see the brown run-off extending out to Inner Brass Island.
