Who do these people think they are?
The chauffeur makes 40-58k? They can drive their own friggen cars, I mean, SUVs provided to them and all their assistants, i mean, buddies and relatives.
A campaign worker gets 80k?
Where's my tax REFUND CHECK?????
This government is really, really screwed.
I hope they rot.

Chris,

I read that article too, I don't live there yet and it had me irked as well. Seems to be lots of nepetism. It would be interesting to know the demographic of the voters on the VI. Younger generations (18 and up) can get politically frustrated but will often let their right to vote go to waste. If the voter turn out between the ages of 18-25 was like 8%, and voter turnout for ages, oh lets say 40-55 was like 42% as a campaigner with a good platform I would be canvasing the colleges, highschool seniors, etc. (look at what Arsenio Hall did for Bill Clinton). I remember reading what Islander said about the the one elected is the one with the best fish fries. That sucks, I think it would be so nice for voters to do what is best for the territory. I believe in the power of a vote, the last presidential election was either great proof of conspiracy or how voting matters. Depends on what you believe. I think it was a reflection of both. You have a right to be angry, these are the people who are supposed to be your voice.
