I just read his obituary. I didn't know him, but the obit sure makes me wish I did!
It is so wonderfully written.

A good man that will be missed by anyone who crossed his path over the years - always a ready smile and he was a welcoming sight on the docks in Red Hook and everywhere else.
Sad to read this today for me.
