Seems we have a handle on the tick situation thanks to WIPE, Pink Stuff and some other odds and ends. Or is the worst of it over? Any one else care to chime in?

Mine doesn't get out enough to worry about it but I'm glad something's working for you.

We're DONE ! The Ivermectin worked!!! They were on it for 6 days, and NO nasty ticks today.

I suppose this wouldn't be a good place to advertise that I have two 4-month's supply of Advantix to sell huh ?

Thanks soooo much to all that contributed to this thread ! I will keep posting updates.

The Ivermectin took a bit longer to work. The dogs were on it for almost 3 weeks before we found no ticks. There were significantly fewer ticks after only 4 days but it took 3 full weeks to eliminate ticks. I still see an occasional one in the house but not on the dogs. This is our first week only dosing once a week. I love Ivermectin - I was so tired of pulling up to 50 ticks off of 2 dogs daily!

I am taking our left over Advantix & Interceptor to the Animal Shelter - they can always use it!

Spoke (typed?) too soon...

Just found a few on each dog this morning. (still better than 20-30 on each!)
We'll go back to the daily doses for awhile.

It's a horse wipe down - actually called WIPE - that I bought at the feed store. This is oil based. It is good for fleas, flies, misquitos and ticks. $24.95 for a quart. There is a water based product very similar called BRONCO but the WIPE is stronger and I was freaking out!
