Looking for Tofutti fake cream cheese on STT, nothing at Fruit Bowl. Has anyone seen it here? Have guests coming, one has some health issues and I'm trying to get some things together for continental breakfast. Thanks in advance.

EE, I'll have to re-visit that one tomorrow...I don't get it, at this hour of the night.

Anyway, yes to cathy. The health food store/grocery at long bay has/had it. It's called Natural Foods Grocery. I'd call first. (first...to make sure they are still there, since I am not...and then to see if they have it in stock.

Juanita, thank you for the response. They close early so I didn't make it there.

Cathy,

Have you tried the Vegan shop on STT? It is located on the North side of the street just after Zorbas on main street.

Does anyone have suggestions for stores that offer that variety here on St Croix?

Plaza STX has a vegan "cold" section. Their selection varies, usually plenty of cheese and butter subs, so you might get lucky.

La'Khaime at 5 corners - in the building to the right of Church's, if you hit Food Town you've gone too far - has vegan food. They have a cold section with things, as well as cereals, nuts, juice, "milk", etc...they're lunch plates during the day are really yummy. They also have natural products like soap and perfume. And they take credit cards!

The lady that owns La'Khaime told us a couple of weeks ago that she will be closing the Princess location in a month or so. They will have a location in the Castle Coakly area. I think it might be her house, but not sure. It was my husband who had the conversation with her. Anyway, it won't be run as a regular restaurant/health food store. If interested, you might stop in and ask her for clarification. I'm really sorry to see them leaving our neighborhood.
