Hi Everyone!

It's only 10 more days until I arrive in St. Thomas!

I am only coming down with a backpack and a little bit of cash. I dont really want to carry more than 100-200 in cash on me, so how should I bring the rest? Does anyone recomend bringing cashiers checks? travelers checks?

I plan on opening a bank account when I get there. Do you know of a bank that can provide a visa check card with my account?

Also, I'm still looking for a temp place to stay until I find an apartment. Anyone out there willing to charge me rent for a month so I can get on my feet?

Take care and see you soon!

-Brandon

brandon-

i'm coming to STJ for a week's stay in a few weeks. i plan on bringing $100 in trav. checks and $100 in cash. i'll depend on ATM's for the rest of my money.

i think all the banks there provide visa check cards, but ask to be sure.

have you looked into villa fairview in STT for your temp. housing needs?
