I'm trying to get back in contact with Alix (not to be confused with Alexandra) who moved to STX in July of 05 right after I came down. Last I had heard she had an interest (bought/leased/whatever) the bar across from Cane Bay in front of the dive shop. Very vivacious brunette - if you ever met her - you'd know it.
If anyone talks to her - please ask her to email me @ [email protected].
I'm excited to be coming down in a couple months - trying to re-connect.

Linda, I may be wrong but is that the couple who bought the restaurant and then went back to the states and the husband had a terrible car accident. He survived but went through therapy for a long time. I believe they went to Florida. She posted many times here telling of the progress of her husband.

Gosh I hope not. Not unless she got married since I've been gone (last 1 1/2 years). She had been living with Wayne (Captain at Seaborne) when they moved down.
My heart hurts for whoever it was. How tragic.
The Alix I am referring to used to work at Calvin's while I was still here. In fact she was working the day the guy came with the machete and tore the place up.
I need to read back posts - wow - so much has happened to everyone since I left. WOW!

Alix was not part of the car accident couple. I think their names are Jeff and Michelle. I see Alix's posts on facebook sometimes. She and I have a couple of mutual friends. You might try looking for her there. Sorry, I don't remember her last name. Good luck.

I am not in the Virgin Islands' network and I changed already so I can't change to it till August. It's nuts. If you see her post will you let her know I'm trying to reach her?

Thanks again to all! Looks like there are a bunch of people on here since I left in Nov 07. It will be like starting over when I get back.
But the Old timers are still posting - (no, not you Ric). They are awesome. They make the transition from statesider to island dweller much easier. This board is great - Thanks Islander for doing such a great job.

It's fine. I do feel for those other people. I remember them vaguely - just before I left island. What a shame. My heart goes out to that family.
