Good morning,

1. Does any one know how to go to the forum and NOT see every post to every subject? When I go to the forum every response is showing,, have to scroll through all the responses to get to the next topic. On the Classifieds forum, only the topic shows up, and I have to click on it to see the responses.

2. Does any one have any information on the use of metal detectors on the beaches? I have done this for years and even had a great discovery the resulted in a man getting his class ring back, want to do it at sunrise here and there, but am not sure of a source for any regulations etc.

Thank you,

Mark on St. Thomas soon to move to ST John.

Mark,
Perhaps Islander can give you some words of wisdom regarding seeing all the posts. Have you tried logging off the site and then logging back on?

I used to have a metal detector. Don't know of any regulations. There must be some agency to call to find out for sure, maybe DPNR?

1. Go to Control Center and then forum settings. You should find what you need there. 🙂

I don't think you can use a metal detector on any National Park beaches. There was a thread a couple years ago about metal detecting. I'll see if I can find it.

Not allowed on the National Park beaches on STJ - here is the quote from the NPS website and a link to the one of their website's for other "rules"

"Metal detectors are not allowed anywhere in the Park. "
