My boyfriend has a beautiful and expensive set of lumineers. He had one break off today. I looked in the phone book but I wanted to see who all you guys recommend. This is a 10K set of chompers, so the dentist MUST be good and know what he's doing. He will go to PR if he has to but hopefully someone good on island.

You can try Dr. Pomeranz and/or ask for a referal for someone good.
There is one dentist (specialist) my sister used and I ended up using him as well but he was the worst.
Unfortunately, I have blocked his name from my mind. My sister ended up having a stateside dentist do work this one ( not Dr. P) started and she said she did not realize the procedures could be so "pain free!" If I remember the guys name I'll post it.

Yes. It was the other one whose name I have since blotted out of my mind.

I would give a very good reccomendation to Dr. Pomeranz - he is very knowledgeable and will give you a reference to someone else if he feels it is beyond his scope.
He has been my dentist here for almost 40 years and I have great respect for his office.

Thanks to the both of you. We made an appointment for Monday. Really appreciate the recommendations, one reason why this board is so great!

If you're not happy with that person I have a dentist/friend here on St. Croix who is excellent and I've seen him numerous times. Dr. Kurt Buska - 340-719-7000. He just told me he does work on that dental problem. Let us know how it goes!

I asked my sister the name of the dentist that I had completely blocked from my mind due to painful experiences.
Horace Griffith located at Paragon in STT.
Cannot recommend to anyone.

Dr Griffith is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. And to every negative recommendation, I would give him two positive ones.;)

I echo what EE said. Since an oral surgeon isn't needed here (hopefully), you won't need him anyway. But I have direct experience comparing Dr. Griffith with several "highly recommended" stateside oral surgeons, and I would choose to go back to him any day of the week.

He went today to Dr. P. he didn't give me too much of a report but did mention the receptionist was rude as she was with me on the phone too. The fix is a temporary cap of sorts that was $350 for 30 min and pretty yellow compared to the rest. Seems excessive to me but hey, I'm not a dentist.

Well it's fixed now so won't need anything else. We are going back to AZ in a few months and his "grill" is under warrantee so will get it 100% plus we will get cleanings when we go.
