New energy efficient street lights languishing in Miami warehouse and soon to be removed with the VI Government forfeiting $100K for failure to pay the outstanding balance due:

The Governor extolling "local food" of "arroz con pollo and lechon" in Atlanta as he continues his extensive travels:

Just another bewildering day of peculiar priorities as the cocks abandon the henhouse. 😀

I can't even express how frustrating it is to get things done in order to comply with the
requirements to do a vacation rental in St. Croix.
I purchased a vacation property in 2014, hired a US Tax person to do my taxes because I am a Canadian citizen and resident. He applied for my IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number in April 2015 on the form W-7 and submitted my taxes.
I haven't heard from VI Bureau of Internal Revenue yet.
I applied to DLCA for the license and advised them that I don't have the tax identification number yet. They didn't answer my letters or phone calls either.
I understand that the government in St.Croix wants the revenue from sales tax from the vacationers, so in order to avoid penalties and interest I sent them a check for the taxes
with the attached explanation that I don't have the license yet.
Nobody cashed my check or advised me why not or how they can help.
Please if you had similar experience, help me with this.

SOS!
Gross inefficiancyand waste prevails bit let's spend money so Mapp, Potter, the entourage can travel, have luxurious accommodations and all the perks while the VI "is in dire financial crisis."

Wish there was a suck teeth, brain exploding emoticon

Is is possible to petition for a recall? Now, stop all that laughing and dry your eyes. Really!

There must be a lawyer in this mix that can chime in with some 'really uplifting' news.

Que No?

Recall can not happen until one year into the term.

There must be a loophole somewhere. What about the questionable senators?

The VI is small and necessarily anything that happens gets noticed and exaggerated. When our representatives up here in the North do the same gallivanting on our money it's harder to spot amid the greater quantity of news about other stuff.
If you don't blow your own horn, who will?

Blowing your own horn is perfectly acceptable and the norm for anyone or entity seeking to get ahead - hyperbolic untruths aren't.
