I am considering shipping a dune buggy to St. Thomas. I will be moving 1/1/07 to the island but have never been. What are all's your thoughts on a dune buggy?

I have not ridden one since Cape Cod, Mass., however there are a lot of protected areas at least on STX. I imagine much would be the same on STT due to the sea turtles eggs. My personal vote would be that it is not a good investment at this time.
Maybe someone n STT has more accurate information about that island.

Best wishes on your move,

D

I agree with Daniel about the beach. also it rains there a little many days, and a lot some days. You will have no protection from the weather. It would be a fun vehicle to drive on the roads some days ( assuming it is street legal ), if it is not your only form of transportation.
