Can anybody tell me if there are any good family practice Drs and Pediatricians on STJ or does one have to go to STT for such services? Also, I see there are a few Dentists on STJ, does anybody have a recommendation? Thanks.

I would recommend St. John Dental, and I haven't had to see a family practice doctor or pediatrician so I couldn't answer that question. Maybe someone else can help?

A friend who used to live on STT went to Dr. Kimberly Moore for dental work/ She's on both STT & STJ. I hope someone else can give you info on doctors on STJ. However, there is a family medical practice in Red Hook, STT.

Trade, are you thinking of Red Hook Family Practice? I just remembered that the practice's doctor, Dr. Clayton, also has a Cruz Bay Family Practice on St. John in Boulon Center. From what I hear, he's a good doctor.

That's the one! Thanks, Andrea. Didn't realize there were 2 locations.

Hi,

Does anyone know whether people actually have and use decent health insurance in the VI? Does stateside health insurance even work there?

Thanks,
Norm

I have Mapfre through my job & it's pretty good. You'd have to check with your insurance company whether your health insurance would work down here.
