I feel so special!;)

I've been listening to the radio and some of the commenters are particularly ignorant and homophobic.

One guy said his daughter is gay and while he loves her she is not welcome in his home or to sit at their table.

Another fellow says his son was gay but he "beat it out of him."

A few months ago a female caller said the same thing, that she beat it out of him. Then she added that he committed suicide a few months later.

I'm going to beat my son until his eyes change to green like mine. I won't have a child with brown eyes in my house!

Unfortunately, it is more prevalent than you'd think.

Alana33,

"Senator James responded to my comment on STT Source.[stthomassource.com]"

I was impressed by the person that responded right after your comments to the senator. If more people like her/him felt like that we would have a "somewhat" better government. I commend you for speaking up Alana!

Thank you, DanielB.
That was a excellent commentary by LOVEUSVI following mine.
As I mentioned in my comment to Sen. James, too many people are, indeed, afraid of repercussions to speak out.
I've never been.

Relax, everything takes time, even in the VI or should I say especially in the VI. The highest court in the land basically has made the decision for all the states and territories, which was the push that Gay Activist wanted and it worked. So now sit back and wait for things to happen. People are soooooo impatient, ruling this morning and already jumping to the alter in the afternoon. Take it from someone who has been married for 42 years, marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be more times than not.

But I'm glad that the Gay and Les community get to enjoy the happily miserable bliss that is marriage. I foresee a huge spike in the divorce rate within the next 5-10 years, which will make the divorce lawyers richer than they all ready are. So remember that warm fuzzy feeling when you say "I DO" and then later "I Don't" and watch half or better of your hard earned assets be split up like a pizza at a pep rally.
