Hard as I have tried, I am unable to find any specific route info for Vitran Public bus on STX online. I am planning a move in the next week and do not know if it is viable to move my vehicle or just sell it at a loss before I go. I want to rent within walking distance from route and want to know if it goes down to Salt River. What can I expect the market for used cars to be like on the island for nov-dec?

You will absolutely need a car. It shouldn't be too hard to get a used car, just check the newspapers when you get here. The VITRAN is unreliable and no bus goes to Salt River. There are $2.50 taxi buses but they go between Christiansted and Frederiksted and nowhere near Salt River.
