In NE Ohio  Spectrum Cable   Fox Cleveland, Ohio  is off the air.  Old contract expired this past Tuesday @ 5:00 pm. Formerly known as Time Warner Cabke, they are in contract dispute with Tribune Broadcasting over the fee to rebroadcast. Tribune wanted 3x the old fee, now they are proposung 2x the old fee.  Usually these channel shutdowns last a few days to a couple weeks.

Viya is in same situation. They are refusing to pay the new fee to rebroadcast CBS & ABC.

There has been a lot of changes to the Dish Network line up too.

A lot of broadcasters are moving to the streaming world it seems.

It doesn't matter to me...I have pretty much switched to streaming on my Roku and Amazon box for the most part.

They have a lot of Canadian channels in their line up, which interests me.

But, I wouldn't watch 95% of the channels listed so $15 a month is still a waste for me.

ABC is owned by Disney, so is ESPN. They have been raising the rates to sell their broadcasting to the cable networks with the result being pushback, threats and blackouts.  https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/30/business/verizon-disney-fios-blackout-agreement/index.html

Just wait until Disney has its own streaming thing worked out. They'll pull out of every competing cable, satellite and streaming outlet. It's coming soon.

As of sometime Wednesday 1/17/19, CBS & ABC are back VIYA Cabke TV. . We didn’t really check until 9 pm tonight. I hope this is not a temporary thing.
