wahoo, dorado fishing

generally, how far offshore and which side of stx or stt are the dorado and wahoo?

thank you very much....i hoped a local would tell me really where the best general fishing areas are (without revealing any secrets). i cant find much info online.

my next step is to call some boat captains.

For STX.

For Wahoo and Tuna we usually went out north to the drop off. Just watch the depth sounder and when you see the bottom drop off from ~70 to over 200 you just troll along the dropoff.

For Dorado(mahi/dolphin) you look for floaters, weedline, FADs, etc. They like to hide in the shadows under floaters. We also go north for this. Very little fishing on the south shore of stx.
