Checking the VI Daily News tonight I was surprised to see a huge banner ad at the top of the front page - for Wall-Mart.
Does this mean anything? Why would they advertise in our newspaper when there is no store near us? For when we travel to the states? Unlikely.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Anyone got the skinny on the old Wal-Mart coming soon question?
Curious shopper wants to know.

Hello Island Paul,
The banner ad says Start Shopping Now - so I would guess its a campaign to increase sales on their website, online orders. They do ship to the VI so its a possiable market for online sales.
I haven't heard anything new about the store opening on STT.
I think Eve was indicating that Puerto Rico is closer to us then the mainland so there is one sort of in the area.
