WAPA Online Payment Problem

Anyone else having problems paying their WAPA bill online? The message that pops up is the following:

"We are sorry, but we were unable to process your payment at this time.
Please see below... 
Transaction Results
Transaction Status: Denied
Reason: Unable to connect to host"

I never had a problem paying online before.

I have seen the problem with WAPA website payments. However, it is usually a temporary problem and will probably be active again in an hour or maybe by tomorrow. If you need to pay the bill immediately, then call them and give credit card to them by phone for the payment.

They probably forgot to pay their hosting bill and were cut off by the vendor. Website hosting isn't free.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not an Ivy league college graduate with a major in computer science. That is even if that is the right major to know all about computers 😀
Please correct me if I'm wrong :@)

And more than likely a simple glitch, just as happens with countless other companies all over the world who accept online payments. Locally, Innovative was likewise glitched a few weeks ago but a quick 'phone call confirmed that my online payment WAS received and the glitch was quickly fixed within a day.

I have been using the online payment with no problems BUT last week I paid my bill and when I checked my credit card this week it wasn't recorded as a charge -- I went back online and it said I owed money so I paid again - both times I got the authorization and transaction #'s - it says I am current[no pun] now but my credit card has still not been charged.

Oh no...I tried more than once. I hope it didn't accept all those payments. I better call them. But it kept saying payment Denied & I received an email from them saying the same thing. Got to check it out.

We apologize for the inconvenience and anticipate a resolution shortly. Alternate payment methods: off-island-call Customer Service 774-3552 or 773-2250; locally-put check or money order in the WAPA drop boxes or send payments by mail.

Thanks! I didn't see that because I have the Pay Bill bookmarked and go straight to that page bypassing their opening page.

Alana, thanks. Paying at the bank is probably what I'm going to do.

Don't mail! Learned that the hard way.

I mailed a payment in at first of month as wasn't going to bank for some reason. End of month experienced an outage. Figured WAPA was out (again)! It got dark, all my neighbours had lights except yours truly. Called WAPA to report. They said they cut me off due to non-payment.

Luckily was able to pay with credit card over phone while wondering what the heck happened to check I mailed OVER 30 DAYS, PRIOR. They came and turned power back on. I have a whole house generator so it wasn't a giant inconvenience except for having to listen to it.

A week or so later, got a call from a WAPA rep saying they just received my check and what would I like to do.

Never mailed a WAPA bill again.
