Hello all,
We finally made it...we've (I) been here for tewnty-five days, and all is beautiful!! Found work...and the kindness and spirit of the locals gave us a place to stay right away!!!
Unfortunatly, I am now alone as my traval buddy has left already, she flew out two days ago.
The island life was to much for her, the bottle to easy to slip into. So for those of you thinking of moving here, Be sure you are able to adapt well to personal sacrifice and a simpler way of life , because if you can't this really is not the place for you. Even if you have a money.
But I think you know what I am trying to say. Island living is awesome and beautiful, but you need to be SURE you can give up a lot for the pleasure of the beauty and the power of the land.

AS far as a meeting Place...What about the Inn at the Tamarind Court, They have food everynight, and a bar open until 11pm....Think about it! * Jasmine*

Hello Jasmine,

Congrats on your first 25 days, finding work and a place to stay!! 🙂 Sorry to hear your friend didn't like it. Keep us posted and perhaps when you have time you can write up your thoughts so I can add it to the moving stories on the site (don't have very many for folks that moved to St. John). Thanks.
