Did anyone catch the evening news? The story where the governor wants to call the Legislature into special session because he just found $50 million that needs to be spent??

Let's see, they could start with the schools...

Was $60 million of unexpected revenues. Seems like a lot of folks are paying their taxes.

Perhaps if they paid their delinquent WAPA debt my monthly WAPA bill would return from the stratosphere...

Maybe they could pay me my tax refund! (yeah, right)

And maybe they could pay the medical examiner her salary from the past eight months. They have not paid her since she began the job in January and now she has left island to work elsewhere. St. Croix does not currently have a medical examiner, which is a position that is mandated by law. I shudder at the thought of the undiscovered murders that people will get away with because there is not a medical examiner to do autopsies and find the evidence that would convict murderers.
