Wet weather in STT!

We're getting pounded with a full on deluge over on STT.
Started last night with heavy rain, then off and on all day but last few hours have been thunder, lighting and pounding rain. It beginning to lighten up a bit so all I hear now is a drizzle, the coquis singing and the sounds of water rushing down the hillsides into the bays like a river.

And into my cistern! Good ting!
Oops! The reprieve was brief. Back to a downpour!

Good night to enjoy being cozy at home with a good book.
Be careful if you must be on the roads as they're subject to flash floods and rock slides.

Had a crack of thunder so loud that it levitated me and sent dogs scurrying to my side from their dog beds. One is now on the bed, the other has imprinted on the rug by side of bed with the 3rd curled up next to her. They don't usually react to thunder but that one blast was so loud that it shook everyone up.

A friend mentioned earlier that we've received over 6" of rain.
Probably will be more than that by the time it stops and that doesn't look to be anytime soon, tonight.

My friend in Caret Bay said they got 6.5"
It was a very wet day and night.
Everything on my decks are dripping.
The downpour finally let up around 3AM.

Did STX get any of this wave?

Had a lovely rainbow this overcast morning and a flock of green parakeets in the flamboyant tree in front of my deck this morning. They are so lovely but you know when they're around as noisy.

Yes STX did get some of the weather too! Mostly mid day yesterday and info the early evening from east to mid island but it looked like west was getting a lot ton of rain based on how dark the sky looked that way. Isabel posted on stormcarib.com and included a photo showing the rain looking towards the west. It is so nice to see the island greened up again now that the drought is over!!

Apparently no outages on STT or STJ and apparently (according to news reports) only one small area out on STX.

I was rather surprised that the power stayed on in my location.
Haven't had an outage in a month! I do keep WAPA on speed dial.
Heard town flooded pretty badly and a couple of other areas did as well.
