What am I seeing?

Good morning! I am staying in Green Cay. On clear days I can see three sets of islands in the distance. Directly in front of me is a very tall island and a little one which I am guessing is the BVIs, Tortola or Jost and some other. To the west of that is a lower, long island that I am guessing is St. Thomas and St. John. At night I can see a glow from the one directly in front of me and with binocs can see lots of lights on the lower, long island, all the way down to the water. Now to the way west (quite a distance, more I think than that between St. John and the BVIs) of that is another island that looks like a big chunk and I cannot see lights on it and can't see it as often as the others. Is there any way you can see all the way to PR? Can anybody help me out? Thanks!

The main islands you're seeing from STX are, from left to right, St. Thomas, St. John, Tortola and Virgin Gorda. There are also smaller islands sprinkled in there, mostly in the BVI.

See my photos posted in the thread "am i seeing things??" (sounds a lot like your subject "What am I seeing?")

Thanks STXBob! I searched but guess I didn't word it close enough. Anyway, that is exactly what I'm seeing. Just didn't realize the channel between STT and STJ was so large from this far away. Doesn't seem that far by ferry! And I knew it would be extremely difficult to see PR... But since you can from Salt River, I'll keep looking that way on a clear day.
