I've been searching old posts (yes, I looked before I asked) and cannot find any opinions on which STX elementary schools are the better ones.

I can find recommendations for STT public elementary schools (Sibilly, Peace Corp, etc) but cannot find anything on STX public schools.

What is the best public school on STX?

Pearl B. Larsen has probably the best looking facility. Until Gary Molloy got transferred to Central High, many of the teachers thought Claude O. Markoe was the best primary school on St. X, don't know if that is still the case.

Please research this carefully. If your child has been raised in the US and is white, any grammar school in the USVI is going to a culture shock beyone anything I can describe.

I have heard that the public schools are bad, but I have not really heard why. Is it because of the transition problems for a child from the mainland, or are the academic programs lacking? I am just curious.

Research this one April...lots of posts....basically high teacher turnovers, no money, no books, the list goes on and on.
