I usually try new recipes when I'm bored. Requires advance planning, though.

You could try taking an quick online class to learn something new or increase your knowledge of a subject.

Um, guess you don't have any books to read? Or movies to watch?

Do some indoor exercises from a DVD so you have an exercise "partner".

You could watch youtube videos on something you've been wanting to try and then go for it.

Thanks for the suggestions - i have a couple thousand books on my kindle lol. I have been sitting around since sunday (boyfriend was sick with food poisioning) then sitting out this storm. So i am all read out - i have also been doing a cross stitch which i am nowhere near done but i cant spend another second on that one. I was thinking of making something very yummy and time consuming. Got any good recipes - think i might make some potstickers. I am trying to think of something to do outside these 4 walls...i am just stuck for ideas. Exercising is a great idea and with this wind i wouldnt get too hot...hmmm

I was also thinking of making potstickers! They used to have some decent ones at CostULess, but when I went there the other day, they had a new brand and only chicken. You already have the rice wrappers? Ha, ha! I'm taking the easy way out for now by just putting rice noodles and shrimp into a miso broth.

I have the big square rice wrappers to make spring rolls when I get it all together. One recipe I've been considering calls for fresh mint and basil, and I don't have either. Maybe I can get some Sun at Bordeaux market????

I can see why you have cabin fever. I like the chatty exercise shows and DVDs.

There's nothing happening here on northside STT. There is actually sun and blue skies can be seen, even tho still cloudy.
Hardly any wind to speak of and no rain tho we had some overnight.

There's always cleaning out those cluttered closets and drawers or cleaning house, there's windows and screens to clean, laundry to do, or organizing your paperwork and filing, repotting plants, trimming dead leaves, getting rid of pesky aphids, mealy bugs, etc. that are infecting them, clean out the car, wash the dogs, do something you never have time for!
Have a project you haven't yet got around to?
Call up a long-winded friend! That'll take an hour or so.
You could probably go for a walk or to the beach if you're on STT or STJ.
Don't know about STX weather but we aren't getting any.

I, personally, like the book and movie option as I could use a little R&R after dragging all my deck furniture and plants in off of all the decks, yesterday for nothing but guess it pays to err on the side of precaution.

Fried chicken sounds good or speghetti & meatballs. I have been meaning to make flan so I am all set for the day and wont have to cook for several. Plus doggies will keep me busy with a mop off and on, thoughout the days if we get more rain as they track their muddy paws all over the floor!
There's always something to do.

I am making Anthony Bourdain's Boeuf Bourguignon...a house favorite! It's pretty windy on the East End of STT. Clouding up, though. While the stew is cooking, I was thinking about taking a walk around the neighborhood or down the hill to the beach and taking some pictures. I love the stormy sea.
