I've long been wondering what the haze in the air (STX) is. I've looked up Montserrat and Sahara dust websites who say that it's not the case. Today, I heard a rumor that it's some other cloud of stuff. Anyone know about this or have some other explanations regarding the air quality here? Something is definitely in the air.

Not sure what is in the air but it is sure making me sneeze alot. itchy eyes too. May be volcanic dust that blew over with the rain.

If anyone finds out let me know please.

Are we suppose to get more rain on st. croix. Did the rain dance Sunday (while i was staying off the roads).

I've never been struck by allergies in the states. And in the five years I've been visiting stx (sometimes over 10 weeks per year), I've never been affected by allergies here. Since I've moved seven weeks ago, I've been wondering why I'm all of a sudden constantly sniffly. Two sites I've tracked down:

Pollen and Mold counts

http://www.entvi.com/Pages/NavBar/620.html

Sahara air layer tracking

http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic/real-time/wavetrak/movies/m8g10split/m8g10splitjava5.html

Between the two, I've got a better understanding of what's happening to me.

It's just part of the system that has been hovering over us the last week or so.
