Thanks for the recommendation for Mike's Electronics. Their price for an LG 60" only $100 more than Amazon. And they deliver and setup.

They are great with service should something go wrong, too. Gave us a loaner for 5 weeks when there was a warranty problem with one our LG TV's that LG handled on island time.

So step 2 is complete. The TV is shipped, picked up by UPS who then delivered to USPS. Original best buy delivery estimate 1/14/2016, current USPS estimate 12/16/2015. And it would seem customs will not be relevant.

buying your TV locally gives you on-island warranty protection.
worth any additional costs to me.
