Where's the best area to hit for a restaurant job?

Hello.

My name is Chris and I'm coming to the Island to live. Either STT or STX. I have no job or place to live, but am resourceful and confident. I have a great amount of restaurant experience and was wondering what area is the best place to hit. I'm assuming there's a concentrated area of hotels and taverns that I can go to on foot and fill out a lot of applications. I'm also looking for a room to rent or a cheap apartment. Can you fine folks help me?

Much appreciated,
Chris

Which island?

St. Thomas - Red Hook

St. Croix - Downtown Christiansted

Other good areas, but you asked for the best.

Also on St. Thomas, the large resorts like the Marriott as well as the bars/restaurants in the Havensight area which includes Port of Sale & Yacht Haven Grande. Lots of restaurants in Frenchtown too.

Here's a good place to stay on St. Thomas until you're established. Save lots of $$ before you come & make sure you have enough to leave if you don't like it.
