Can anyone advise which island would be best for children aged 10-12? Schools? Safety? Other children?

If they want to make friends St thomas. But in general for Families St john is probably the best island in the USVI.

They can make friends on all 3 islands. Less crime overall on STJ.

If it's a choice between STJ, STT and Water Island (and not STX), you may also consider Water Island. There are a lot of children that live on Water Island and go to school on STT. Quiet, safe, reliable ferry or you can use your own dinghy.

Kids age 10-12?
Safer in relative terms st john--even with their rapes, robberies, murders and infrstructure problems...nothing to do though...no theatres or anything a 10-12 yr old would be intersted in really....i've lived there for past 10 years as well as having business throughout USVI, BVI and Puerto Rico...
St Thomas has more attractions for that age group....but same social problems etc...
ST Croix is more rural, has a great diverse culture, hisrory etc... and I would recommend St croix for 10-12 year olds...
