Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever had their tarot cards read on STX? I'm interested if anyone has found anyone really good. Thanks!

Hi islandjoan.

I'm not a believer in the occult but I'm curious as to what constitutes a "really good" tarot card reader. Is it a matter of "reading" the cards so that you perceive the remarks as applying to something specific in your life? I've seen folks have readings in movies but I've always wondered what really happened in a reading.

hi dntw8up,

yeah, I consider a really good reading to be one where the reader picks up on stuff that's going on in your life, when there's no way on earth they would know because you haven't told them anything about yourself. I've only had my cards read once or twice, but both times the stuff was so dead on it was spooky. Its kinda fun to do once in awhile...the cards pertain to different aspects of your life (love, money, children, health, etc.) and the tarot card reader will study each card and then tell you either what lies in the future for you, or what you are going thru now, in each area.

I had an interesting reading done many years ago in a bar in Christiansted. Can't remember the name of the place, but the reader was a good looking slender woman, wearing sunglasses, in doors.
She was on the money in what she said, but had no major revelations. But during the reading a dog wandered into the bar and sat under the table I was at. Then a little while later a local came in and the dog went wild.
He was shouting call your dog off, and I said it wasn't my dog. She did finished the Tarot reading and also did a palm reading. What an interesting experience. When it was over we all left the place, and the dog followed her down the street. Apparently she would do readings on week day nites.
This place was off the tourist path
and was small with a pool table. But pleasant.
