Who says crime don't pay?

Whoever said crime don't pay never lived in the VI.

Two people were arrested for smuggling cocaine through the Henry Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix. One checked in luggage with nothing abnormal about it. The luggage went through screening with Customs and TSA, with no problems. After screening a baggage handler, who has worked at the airport for fifteen years or so, put cocaine into the luggage. The carrier was to take the cocaine to the states and make a pretty sizable fee.

Both were convicted of smuggling cocaine and received five years probation.

No wonder the cops don't seem like they want to do their jobs with judges giving free passes to cocaine smugglers.

Thats awful. I thought cocaine had a mandatory 7 year sentence for trafficking. I wonder how long that was going on for!
