My house was shaking and it lasted about a minute. Load too!

Based on information from the NWS Pacific Tsunami Warning Center...An earthquake occurred at about 5:21 PM AST with a preliminarymagnitude of 5.2 about 16 miles west of Anegada.The earthquake has been reported as felt lightly in Puerto Ricoand Virgin Islands.Given the reported intensity of the earthquake.. there is no tsunami threat for Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.Continue to monitor your favorite news source for more information.Updated information will be issued by emergency officials and thePuerto Rico Seismic Network.

I heard it coming then felt it. I usually don't feel them but this one I did.

You could hear it coming and the plates grinding. STX being further away probably did get same impact we did in BVI, STJ and STT.
Report by Source said boaters encountered a couple large waves.
No Tsunami types, luckily.

There was a 5.3 quake 40 miles off CA yesterday afternoon. Hmmmmm

I felt it here on the west end of STX. I live 400' ASL. It felt as if a big truck drove by my house...an impossibility up here. It felt just like that which I've felt many times before in South Arkansas when the New Madrid fault rumbles up near Arkansas/Missouri line. But, I'm sure most would not have given much thought to it. But, I thought to myself at the time, hmmm, that felt like a quake rumble and got on here today and my thoughts were confirmed.
