Why I read island newspapers

This headline appeared in Wednesday's Virgin Island Daily News:

"Teenage brothers charged with machete, knife ass." http://www.virginislandsdailynews.com/index.pl/article_home?id=17615417

I certainly hope the authorities, along with the Humane Society, are on top of this and proper care is being administered to the wounded donkey. Funny thing is, the article attached to this headline makes no mention of the assaulted animal.

And in the latest addition of a Bahamian newspaper the Nassau Tribune, this appeared:

OK - I'm not sure if you are being "tongue in cheek" or not but I think the headline should read.....
"Teenage brothers charged with machete, knife assult" and they just ran out of room 🙂

Hah. This is almost better than when the Avis had, in larger than life letters on the front page, "EMANICPATION"
