Thanks for the great folks on this board I found a wonderful place to stay for awhile (till February).

Still looking for something longer term but the immediate 'need' is portable internet for my Mac Book. Right now I'm sitting by the condo office where my Airport is able to pick up a signal. Not the case inside the unit. Had one for a little bit last night but it comes and goes. I'm using one of those ATT go phones but I don't know if that has any bearing on this. Not real sure what gizmo I could get for it. Checked the ATT site and it looks like their wifi stuff is only for PC's.

If you think of anything let me know. Not as Geek savvy as I ought to be...

The mobile broadband device I use is a pay-as-you-go USB thing from Virgin Mobile. I run Windows 7, but the specs on it say it works for Mac too.

Might check their website too...www.virginmobileusa.com. If you activate online before the middle of January, you get some kind of bonus credit--like $10 or $20, but I can't remember exactly. I'm not sure about their shipping, though. I just saw it on the site today as I was reloading my account.
