I hope not, we (BBVI) hit over 1Gbps of traffic last night....probably around 30% restored.

I was reading on Facebook this morning that there are towers that are restored on STT. Is BBVI going to post a map of the towers restored/not restored and also which tower would someone on the southwest point of Water Island be pointing? Also, if my modem needs replaced (due to water damage), can I go to the new BBVI office in Charlotte Amalie across from Seaplane taking my old modem and they will have new modems there that I can get a replacement?

You probably connect to Crown Mountain, which was stripped clean. We have not repaired it yet. It is on the list. We will have to come to your house to replace the modem. You can stop by the office and get on the list, or email [email protected]

I believe BBVI on STX is currently restoring business accounts only and that may take another week or two before they begin to focus on residential account restoration. One option you might explore is to upgrade to a business account. At least for me there is a dramatic difference in speed between what I had as a residential account and what I now have with a business account. Based on my experience expect about a week from request to upgrade to having the new equipment installed and internet access. I believe stopping by the office in person to check on the status is probably more effective than calling the office.
