yet another transplant...

Hi folks. I have been following this message board for almost three years now and found it to be an invaluable source for general and specific info on moving to the islands. Since the "digital" world for USVI is intermittent at best and nonexistent at worst, trying to find usable info can be quite disappointing. Thanks for all your help. Now... I too have been enticed to moving to St. Croix by the beauty and solitude and have spent a great deal of time researching the necessities required to transplant my family. It seems that there are three major requirements to moving: a temporary place to flop while a more permanent living arrangement can be made, the aforementioned permanent housing and a job of any sort. As the logistics of moving to an island are tricky, my wife and I have determined that I should come first and "trailblaze" while she wraps up the loose ends at home. To that end, I require a place to flop for a few days, a six-month leased accomodation and employment. As my resume is quite broad and deep, I can work whatever to get settled in. As this message is quite general, I welcome anyone who might be able to help with any of "the big three". I wish to be there permanently in Jan 2006.

Jeff,

I have both temporary and long-term rental options that might suit you depending on what your needs are. If your "family" is just you and your wife you would have different needs than if your "family" includes children and/or pets. You can reach me directly at 340-514-5591 or [email protected] if you'd like to discuss what I have available to see if it might work for your needs.
