How Old the Presidents of the USA look after serving in that Office. I guess that's why I never ran for that Office.

And so does typing.......just coz one doesn't like the former president, doesn't mean everyone needs to be so mean & hateful towards him... We NEVER once had a repeat attacks on "OUR SOIL" after 9/11. He aged terribly trying to keep our nation safe while EVERYBODY spewed hate towards him. I don't agree with everything Former President Bush did, but could any of us have done better...........maybe NOT!
We need to remember NO matter who is in office they are NOTHING more than a mere mortal & will make mistakes & it's up to us as a nation to try and support them. Sadly former president Bush will be blamed until his death for every last bad thing that happens on Earth.
Hey my dog has gas...........must be Bush's fault! :-X
Gods Speed to Obama.

When Nixon left office he had a bad reputation. Since then his reputaion has changed and he will go down as one of the best leaders we had.

Here, here Islandtyme!!! I was never a Bush fan but I am sick to death of all the Bush bashing. The man was President of our country and he deserves respect for that. It will be interesting to see if President Obama is reviewed with the same microscope that Bush was, somehow I doubt it. He has a long road ahead and I hope everyone supports him more than Bush was supported. Regardless of political leanings all Americans should support our President, support doesn't mean you have to agree with everything he does. I personally think partisan politics is the biggest problem we have in our country....nothing gets solved because people can't come together.

I wasn't going to touch this conversation with a 10' poll, until I saw this post. Please tell me your tongue was planted firmly in cheek while writing it.

Wow! I too feel that Bush got a raw deal.
Nice to hear people defend him instead of bash him!

We all wish Obama the best and need to support him!

Marlene is right. Some historians say he is going to be thought of in years to come as a great president for opening up talks with China. He was a great international diplomat.

I really don't want to get in to a political debate with everyone so I am going to say this and then not check this post again. Just do some background research on the Bush family and all their companies. See how much money they have made due to this war on terror. See how many companies Bush has ran into the ground. It sickens me to think that he has done the same to our country. I come from a very strong republican background as well as a state that has never been won by a democratic presidential candidate. I'm not saying you guys do this at all but the main problem around here is that people refuse to look into his history. They don't want to know. By around here I mean my home county. It's very evident as soon as you do a little research. I find it hard to accept what he has done after viewing all his 'things'.

Everybody has their opinion and I greatly respect and appreciate that. I think you are all great Americans and only want the best for our country. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. in other countries we might be persecuted for our political beliefs. Who knows, maybe in four years I will feel the same way about Obama. Only time will tell. I just hope it is nothing like the past 8 years.

His speech was amazing and inspirational. Lets just hope that he can keep just one or two of the 510!!! promises he made to get elected.
As for President Bush, at least the government won't have to track down all of the items stolen from the White House like when the clinton's left office. Bush also was nice, and right, in making the transition very smooth, unlike billary.
I think that Obama will act the same way when he leaves office, as he seems to be an honorable man as well.

Bush should never have been president in the first place. That whole election debacle (remember the hanging chads? Remember the Supreme Court vote?) put him in office but the people didn't. Just my opinion but he deserves all the bashing he gets.

Do not forget Cheney's interest in Blackwater, a company dedicated to providing a private army to Bush...

Cheney's interest in Blackwater? I've never heard this one before. Sure you don't mean his former ties to Halliburton (sp.)?

LOL!!!

Actually it seems Obama's hair is now a touch grayer than before the campaign. In fact I don't recall any gray at all before he got started. must be me... so the process has started already. Michelle on the other hand, looks the same. So do Sasha and Malia!

😛
