You made a shipping warrior out of me!

I already buy most everything on the web anyway, even though I currently don't need to. Lurking here for a week now has me acutely aware of how "ugly stepchild" the USVI is (and even PR) to mainland web shippers. And I confess...[SIGH]. I have my OWN webstore on the mainland and even *I* didn't realize I could ship USPS to the USVI as easily as to AK and HI (maybe because a few years ago the USPS started requiring customs forms on APO/FPO addresses and that confused the issue...? Dunno.)

Early this week I went into my store's dashboard and fixed that right away. [Embarrassed]

Anyway, while placing another order tonight I checked to see whether the USVI was a shipping destination in this particular store. Nope. Not PR, either. So in the comments section I asked whether they ship to US possessions...that don't require a customs form...you know, as easily as to AK and HI??

There are a gazillion webstores out there and I can't possibly hit them all in my lifetime, but I pledge henceforth to bring this up to every single place I order from which currently ships to AK and HI, since I know that those orders HAVE to go USPS. Even if we never make it to STX, as I ardently hope we will, I have about six years of being a clueless webmaster/store owner to do penance for. 🙁

was that target or kohls? a lot of times if i see something i want to order-fabric and such-i will let them know that they can ship here just like the us and they fix it. works especially well if it is not a "big" corporate store. Most people do not know you can ship here and if they do ship here they think we are international. i have emailed many stores to let them know we are not international where usps is concerned
