LMAO.

Such special snowflakes - and whiney too!

Just tell me why it's important to watch a 5 minute video when it's posted. I thought there was some consensus to citing and describing linked media earlier in this discussion.

YouTube is a content viewing tool - but YouTube did not make the video. Who made it and why is it important?

As previously stated, don't want any nasty viruses.

LMAO

No one said it's important, no one said you had to watch it, that was your random interjection.

a video uploaded to youtube is created by the youtube channel holder; apparently you do not understand what youtube is.. it's NOT TV.

YouTube is a content viewing tool - but YouTube did not make the video. Who made it and why is it important?

Clearly you do not understand how youtube works 😉

I have a youtube channel, all videos on my channel are my own creation; anything that someone else created will be taken down and my channel will be banned (and I would lose all my uploaded content and my 2 subscribers!).

As previously stated, don't want any nasty viruses.

LMAO

You cannot get a virus from you tube...

I'm baffled at people that commonly use computers and computer systems yet know so little about them.

Though I used to drive a truck and barely knew how to change the oil when I was younger, so I guess it happens.

If you peruse the above many pages on this discussion, someone previously refused to open a link to a legitimate main stream news source stating he/she might catch a nasty computer virus from it.

Just making fun. Glad you know how to change oil now??

Still laughing - and eating some Kellogg's Frosted Flakes.

Is it whiney, whiny or winey? The latter I hope.

Ahh, getting all Meta eh?

I'd refuse to open a "main stream media" link because it's intellectual poison, that's kind of like a virus, right?

A thief will always assume others have stolen from them, an adulterer will always assume their spouse is cheating.....

The "news" media decrying "fake news"...... well I'd say the conclusion is obvious there... 😉

just my 2 cents as a current (and hopefully temporary) off-islander but Trump was elected President (albeit through a broken Electoral College system) and we will need to adapt. In large part he won because we as a people have allowed politicians to brainwash us into thinking that capitalism needs to be the prevailing system in all aspects of America. we have come to believe that each individual is responsible for all aspects of their lives. in fact the truth can be that we as a society take care of each other; we can provide healthcare and education for each other; we can pamper our pregnant women and support new parents; and we can provide vacation time for everyone to just relax. There is no reason why each person or family needs to pay post-tax dollars on health insurance when our taxes should be paying for this. i know some of you will say 'in Europe and Canada taxes are crazy,' but if you consider that taxes in those countries include school tuition, health care, and most civil insurance (like malpractice), then our taxes + those requirements are more. It will take more than a liberal minded Hillary or 'successful' businessman Trump to make America better for the people. It will take everyone on a local level to affect our own communities. It will take the USVI to get people in power who can set priorities to help the community (I dont know your politics so am not campaigning for a change). It may be necessary to restructure healthcare in a way that everyone can get a free annual visit with a provider and access to reduced generic meds and insurance takes care of active problems and acute illness. It may also be needed for enough Americans to say 'we no longer need to spend half of our budget on the military when children go to sleep hungry or are afraid to go to school because of violence.' I think it will take more than a candidate to do this. It will take all of us. I do unfortunately agree that Pres-elect Trump most likely does not share this vision.... Hope he surprises me

Hahaha, very "spot on".

I quit watching TV in 2005 after my first deployment.. the shock of what "TV" told me Iraq was vs the reality was too much.. Screw that, I lie to myself enough, don't need the TV doing it too!

Mayor Bloomberg said it best, Trump is a con man. Its amazing the people who know him the best (residents of NY, Ct. and NJ), people who have seen his tired act the last 35 years overwhelming voted against him. Why won't he release his tax returns? I am sure the reason is he must be in debt to foreign powers. Putin has his "Boy" in the White House. Buy Russian stocks for your portfolio

Is releasing your tax returns a requirement?

How would debts to foreign powers show up on a tax return, I've filed many and never saw the line item for that, in fact.. If I'm not writing something off for my business I'm not listing debts at all, they sure don't seem to care how much debt I'm in, just how much they want to collect.

These are MSM talking points, do your own research.

Yes trump is a jackass, but holy crap, don't be a parrot for the 6 media companies in the US.

Does anyone think for themselves anymore?

Where is the electoral system broken? All because someone was chosen who YOU didn't vote for or who YOU didn't want to be elected? WHO ARE YOU to decide what is broken and what isn't. That is like saying the immigration system is broken, when in actually it's not if they would just enforce the laws that are on the books now. If there is something that you don't like, because YOU don't like it then fight to change it, but don't claim it's broken unless you can show proof of that statement. Capitalism is what this country is based on, founded on and is what our founding fathers fought so hard for, so if you don't like capitalism then maybe the USA ain't for you. The liberals keep trying to make the USA like Europe and if you look at Europe it ain't doing that great and if you ask most Europeans would give their left arm to live where YOU are living whether YOU appreciate it or not.

Further more, as far as your 2 cents, you are do change because you over paid.

I'm not curious at all and waiting to see what this Scholar has to say in response to your question of proof. But you won't get any just like I have been asking for days now when the liberals claim Trump lied to PROVE it, but like liberals do, when you question their statement as fact, they shut up. So again I ask, either prove your statements and I so hope it ain't going to be about that damn wall, which he isn't even in office yet.

Bunch of spoiled brat cry babies, who act like children who didn't get their way. But this time everyone isn't going to get a trophy, so get over it or please move to another country and see if that suits you better. Bet you dollars to donuts it won't.

LiquidFloride,

You make the assumption that I read or watch MSM. Unfortunately I don't have the time to watch much television or spend all day listening to the garbage coming from Right Wing radio hosts. My opinion of Trump goes back to 1980 when I first became aware of him and his actions including putting gang members in a Central Park West apartment building he had in an attempt to drive out elderly residents who had lived there for over 30 years and were under Rent Control laws. Trump con tactics go all the way up to now, how many students (and eventually Tax payers) loss money on his so called Trump University, which he just conveniently settled out of court. How many Bondholders lost money on his 4 declarations of Bankruptcy over the last 30 years. How many small mom and pop construction companies had to close up shop because he refused to pay them. He always says take him to court, well these small firms don't have the resources to take someone to court. Why does he always threaten to take other people to court who criticize him. His famous words, I am going to sue you. Please. In the late 80's I had business associates who were involved with some financing deals and they would tell me that Trump was broke. I would always tell them they were crazy then I started to look at some of the transactions he was not fulfilling with vendors and it became apparent to me this guy was broke but the media was still falling for his tough negotiator nonsense he was putting out. Later it would come out that he was broke. Even the coauthor of his book "The art of the Deal" says this whole aura of a great businessman is a joke. I will not mention the cheating of his wives (because that is his family's personal business not for the public consumption). Even now he claims he saved 1,000 Carrier jobs and its now coming out this is a figment of his imagination. Even Sarah Palin criticized him on this. To all you Trump supporters continue to drink the Kool-Aid, but at least do some research on your home. There is so much out there, its ok to like the guy but do your homework. A con man.

You just proved that well-educated elites can also be opportunists who sound all truthy for a buck or two in the name of conservatism.

QUOTE FROM WEBSITE "Students no longer learn that America is a land of opportunity, a defender of freedom around the world, and a source of pride. Instead, they are taught that America is a land of inequality, racism, imperialism, and, ultimately, shame that can only be redeemed through the adoption of leftist ideals. As Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Never before in America has Reagan’s warning felt so real."

I especially like the PragerU.com (not .edu a dead give away) petition for celebrities to pack their bags and move out of America. Very classy - and oh so appropriate for an "educational" resources dedicated to valuing liberty.

https://www.prageru.com/letters-petitions

I want some Eggos with my winey!

PragerU is not a university, thus no .edu. Their speakers are from many well known universities. The presentation on "Why we are losing our liberty" is by a Professor of Jurisprudence from Princeton. The one on global warming is by a climate physicist from MIT, etc.

The purpose of PragerU is to make 5 minute educational videos with a conservative point of view. It is interesting that you think that they are opportunists who are doing it for a few bucks. Unlike those principled progressives.

From the PragerU website:
"How do you select which experts to feature in your videos?

We seek out highly qualified, credentialed and accomplished experts in the field appropriate to the subject of each video. Our presenters include highly respected college professors, award-winning journalists, successful entrepreneurs, and attorneys and advisers who have worked with top politicians and CEOs. They are passionate about what they do, and they come to us because they know we can simply and clearly explain their ideas to millions of people. "

I like the petition asking all of the celebrities who said that they were going to leave if Trump got elected to follow through with their promises.

The left's way of dealing with ideas that they don't agree with is to get authorities to shut them down. Make they shut up. Blasphemy!

Trump won! Deal with it! He wouldn't have been my choice, but he is a better alternative than Clinton.

Mine either Rotor, and I agree even on a bad day he'll be better than a Clinton. I started this thread by posting congrats to our newly and legally elected President not to start world war three. He has responded to those lawsuits you mention Alana, that isn't him lying. It's being a smart business man, you don't do a good job, work is late and not on time or not finished, you don't get paid.

Please folks, this bashing and brow beating of our newly and legally elected president has gone on far enough. If you can't be a gracious loser and offer encouragement and well wishes to do a good job then stop posting on my thread and create your own hate baiting thread. Just think, starting next month you can start nit picking, whinning and complaining about everything President Trump does or don't do just like us conservatives did with Obama for the past 8 years. So hold your nose and hope you outlive his time in office.

One trick ponies - turn off your breitbart and stop consuming propaganda though I know the election is all you have.

Now, start figuring out how you and your family will survive once your life is turned upside down by the new oligarch in town. The vision is a new feudalism with capitalism as the excuse. Strip away health care, pensions, social security, living wages - yeah,
Trump is the guy for America!

Glad you have 5 minute videos so you can learn what the rest of us learned in civics class though way too late.

Here's a new one - why is Rebekah Mercer the most dangerous woman in the US?

Just had a pop tart and it was real good.

Sounds like you need some comfort food.

how exactly is this oligarch any different than the past ones?

why are you so panicky?

Are you honestly convinced that

Strip away health care, pensions, social security, living wages

will happen?
(what the hell is living wages?)

Seems a bit extreme, nutty even.
