Hillary worked very hard for those GS speaking fees, where she implored the IB community to look out for the little guy.

"President-elect Donald Trump has been twisting the facts in ways beyond what even George Orwell envisioned in his dystopian novel 1984. When PolitiFact, the Pulitzer Prize-winning truth squad sponsored by the Tampa Bay Times, analyzed more than 300 assertions by Trump since he announced his presidential bid, it found that roughly 70 percent were mostly or completely false while another 15 percent were half-truths. Only 15 percent of his comments were deemed mostly or completely true. Little wonder CNN political commentator and Trump apologist Scottie Nell Hughes recently declared on NPR’s Diane Rehm Show that if enough people believe a lie, it’s true — at least for them. “There’s no such thing ... anymore as facts,” she said."

Its always funny to see liberals bring up 1984 as an issue when they've been using it as a blueprint since the 90's. Guess that you're pissed that you've been out 1984'd by DJT.

We've always been at war with Eastasia

Congresswoman Moves To Force Trump Assets Into Blind Trust, Ban Children From Operations

http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/11/18/congresswoman-moves-to-force-trump-assets-into-blind-trust-ban-children-from-operations/

This is much needed.
Way too many conflicts of interest.

What Trump’s Cabinet Picks Tell Us
It doesn’t make America great to undermine public education, undercut workers, restrict access to health care or pit people against each other.

I was under the impression that there are no conflict of interest laws for president or vice president; Only for the legislative and judicial branches.

There never have been conflict of interest issues forced for EITHER, look at all the insider trading that is done by legislative/executive branches, look at how the clintons and bushes enriched themselves... I always figured it was an ethical sink hole..

I guess some people are only now paying attention?

Kinda funny... haha, kinda seems like the desperate reaching of someone trying to consolidate their loss...

Public education worked just fine before the Department of Education was established in 1980. Education should be returned to the states. Remember the 10th amendment?

Obamacare did nothing to reduce the cost of healthcare. All it did was shift the cost of health insurance premiums. People who already had insurance and were happy got screwed. Young people got screwed. It was the first time in US history that all citizens were required to purchase a private product under penalty of law.

Obama wants the federal government involved in all aspects of your life. Too much. Hopefully Trump will roll back Obama's regulations in all areas.

“the president can’t have a conflict of interest.”
— Donald Trump

and that reminds me of the old "you can't put too much water on a nuclear reactor" if y'all are old enough to remember that one.

It would seem the current amount of Trump's conflicts of interest are orders of magnitude greater than what we've seen in the past.

Not really, remember Pelosi?

I mean this has been going on in a WAY WAY WAY worse way for years ( buying stocks before passing a law that will make the stocks go up is INCOMPARABLE to these silly things that are being brought up) It was so bad they changed the law because of it (then quietly amended the bill before it was passed, so it effectively does nothing)

SO, again... welcome to how it's always been.

"Hoo RaH",,,,, Several posters here on your Tax Dollar. Jus Say'in.

This is a good example of the logical fallacy "Ad Hominem".

A common tactic used when the person using it has no real place in a conversation and cannot offer anything to further the debate.

It's generally done by interjecting comments or attacks about the person contributing to the topic instead of the contribution itself. It is cute, my 12 year old still tries to do it and thinks it's a valid form conversation.

btw

Your welcome for my service.

It's been over a week since I looked at this site and I can't believe the same few posters are hammering away at this bullshit!

Alana33... please.
I clicked onto your "dailykos" article. The first sentence of the article is,

"Many of our allies and foes are trying to figure out what the man-child psycho is going to end up doing"
Do you honestly believe this article can't possibly be slanted in any way.

No wonder your freaking out, if these are the kinds of places your getting your news from.
This is not the age of information, it is the age of misinformation.

Let's just end this thread now please. It has no bearing on anything to do with moving to the USVI. The election is over, it's done with, move on...

I read a lot of different sources.
The election may be over but the horror story is only beginning.

That article is an opinion piece that discusses information contained in an article in the Wall Street Journal, for which they provide a link. So, if you can hold your nose for just a bit past the first sentence, you can click through and safely read a right-leaning source.

TIP: If you are tired of this subject, you can scroll right past it!!! I know you'll be just as stunned as I was when I realized it wasn't required reading.

There are probably a thousand sites out there for you to vent your political dissatisfaction. As I stated earlier, is the VI Moving Center site really the place for this?

The last eight years has brought a lot of nuts out of the closet. They can kick and scream all they want. Fewer are listening to them every day. The Newspapers are in tough times as are most of the mainstream media outlets. Maybe this will force them away from propaganda and back to news.
How about the harassment of Ivanka Trump on the Jet Blue flight? She was harassed by two gay men with and adopted child. The fact that something like that even happened is insane. If someone even looked at them in an offensive way can you imagine what they would have done.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Changes coming soon!

This thread has been most entertaining and educational. I home school my 13 year old son and we used this thread as an additional study to U.S. government this year. It has fostered so much discussion, research and learning about how people interact with differing opinions. Amazing!
