I want to make goat milk soap but am having a VERY difficult time finding the Lye (sodium hydroxide or caustic powder) here on STX. If anyone has any ideas as to where I may be able to purchase it, I would appreciate it. I have found some place on line that will ship, but I have a PO Box and they will not deliver.

Maybe you can order it online.
I used to see it being sold in smaller grocery stores growing up here in islands but can't say I have seen it recently. How about a health food store? Would they carry it?
When I first saw your post I thought it said "goat milk soup" and thought "yuck!"

Amazon carries it and they ship to PO boxes.

LOL goat milk soup. That is funny. I have looked at many places that normally ship to PO Boxes, but they will not because it is a "hazardous chemical". Thanks for the help everyone! I really do appreciate it
