I feel for all the folks in the path of this hurricane!

NHC predicts that Harvey is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 15 to 25 inches and isolated maximum amounts of 35 inches over the middle and upper Texas coast through next Wednesday

That's an insane amount of rain.

Stay safe Texans!!!

I sure hope it avoids us too!
As Jamison posted on facebook, the POS infrastructure here cannot take a hit from a hurricane!

What better way to pay for some new hospitals, schools, and infrastructure than federal disaster aid? Let's hope not. I think Sandy took out some of our roads which got repaved from Sandy relief.

trumps new infrastructure plan might actually be a good thing in the aftermath of harvey.
many less hoops to go through so hopefully can get things done faster.

I bet the NAFTA guys are super happy since Houston was squarely in the way of their proposed new super highway and I don't doubt they will jump all over this crisis "opportunity" as Rahm Emanuel so eloquently (and FKING CREEPILY) put it.

If I had a bigger tinfoil hat I might try to connect the two events, but I'm not that far "out there" yet.

Little did we know.....

Agreed. I pray it's not as catastrophic as predicted.
And pray we don't face anything remotely similar.
