Anybody know that needed an accountant/bookkeeper? Finally made it here in the island. I send my resumes to some government agencies which I thought I was qualified for the position but never heard from any of them. I even followed up few times. Some didn't even bother to email back. I felt a bit discourage to apply in govt. It seems that really whom you know that matters.
I have an accounting degree from foreign country, but have 8+/- years of US accounting experience, plus auditing and income tax preparation experience. I think I have an impressive resume but it seems that I can't penetrate to the local job market.

Did you check www.career.vi? I seem to remember some positions related to accounting. Good luck in your job search
