I want a metal detector that will also go under water. I've seen some really cool stuff while snorkeling and I want to know if it's metal,one piece looked like a steering colum type shape,wheel & shaft. I am facinated by what's down there-maybe I'll find treasure!:-o

Which island? My good friend is a shipwreck diver and he has an underwater metal detector....he might go with you to check it out for you...have you considered a magnet?

oooooo!! a magnet! cha-ching! that is genius!! I would LOVE to go, I dont scuba, I snorkel. I'm on STX.:-)

Ah, STX....my buddy that owns the detector is on STT...how deep is this item? I have some of the neodynium magnets that are suspiciously strong, but also very small and lightweight...like it will fit in that tiny pocket inside the front pocket on jeans? I mean, this can't be but maybe 1.5" long by .5" around...shaped like a football....I'll be back on STX n a week or so, so if you need to use one of my magnets, just lemme know....I work in Gallows Bay and travel to the hospital daily....
